When you can see the light...

Hello, my name is Molly. I'm an interior design major. This is my final semester at UW-Stout. I'm a transfer student who transfered up from Madison Area Technical College after getting an associates degree in the same major. At one point I thought I would be a psychologist and a counselor but after a year at UW-Oshkosh I decided that office jobs aren't for me so make a BIG switch to design. Therefore,  when I graduate I'll have seven years of college under my belt. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited about graduating... again. I'm a kitchen and bath designer in Woodbury and enjoy my job a lot.

When I'm not designing or focusing on school, I'm out with friends, cooking for them or catching a movie. I also know how to crochet, which may be an "old lady thing" but I've used it as a way to fight against stress. It works, trust me. And contrary to popular belief, I watch more Food Network than HGTV even if I have met Vern Yip (Trading Spaces) and Barry Wood (Hidden Potential.)

I decided to take this class to hone my drawing skills and I really like the idea of being able to have some freedom in what I want to draw on what I want to draw on. I am inspired by organic shapes and nature. I think Mother Nature is the best artist. I am excited to see what we all come up with and how the semester runs. This is it and the light is there.
